Interior

The interior kit was supplied by Becky Orndorf . The interior kit comes with the seat cushions, armrests, and pockets, and glue. She supplies you with the rest of the material already marked with patterns.

Forward cockpit. Notice the removable table in the left picture. A blank instrument panel was purchased and trimmed to match the two side panels. The side panels overlayed the existing panels to provide a flush panel look.

View of modified throttle lever and the custom fuel panel. The aluminum vents are a direct replacement for the plastic vents sent from Van's. The air vents are PN# 7245-01. They cost me $100.00 a piece plus $10.00 shipping. The company was B/E AEROSPACE, INC located in Holbrook, New York. There phone number is 631-563-6400.
The sales person I talked to was: Carol Ryan. Her phone number is 631-563-8781.

Rear cockpit. A fiberglass cover was made to hide the the flap actuator.

New Throttle Quadrant

The original throttle quadrant I made was replaced with a DJM Mfg quadrant. Their quadrant is a direct replacement for the throttle quadrant sold by Van's Aircraft. The quadrant is all metal with etched text descibing each lever's use. The throttle, prop and mixture knobs are machined aluminum and the knobs and quadrants are anodized. The lever friction elements are metal. The DJM quadrant installation and disassembly is simpler than the Vans quadrant. This is a cool looking throttle quadrant. I find the throttle knob is in a comfortable position for your hand to operate.
